This area fortunately still currently exists in Millersford Copse. It is an example of how beautiful mixed woodland with pine, fern and heather understory can be.
Much of this area adjacent to the stream used to look like the photograph on the left.
Hugely widened damaged trail (up to 11m wide). Note the removal of large areas of heather compared to before.

Forestry England notes these remaining trees are part of Phase 4 of their plans.
The slope on the left was felled 2014-2017. 6+ years later, it is still barren and now the area to the right has been felled also.
